ALTERNATE HOTEL SITES

We are aware that there are no more rooms at the quoted reunion rate at the Colonnade and some of you would still like to attend. We have checked with several nearby hotels where there are available accomodations. Please call those that you are interested in and do not only ask for the rate for "the Gables class of 1960", but inquire about any possible means for discounts that you have--Senior rate (we all qualify for this), AAA rate, AARP rate, etc.

A number of our classmates are going to stay at the Marriott Courtyard . The Marriott, 1-800-276-7415, (Local number 305-443-2301) is located at 2051 LeJeune Road approximately 5 blocks from the Colonnade. Let them know you're with Gables60. Approximately $135.

There is an Extended Stay at 3640 S.W. 22 St.(on Coral Way or Miracle Mile across from Sears) approximately 4 blocks from the Colonnade. This facility has complimentary parking and efficiency type rooms with coffee maker, stove, fridge, toaster, microwave, etc., and is pet friendly if you need to bring your 4-legged children. Phone 305-443-7444 and ask for Jessica (Manager) or tell the staff you're with Gable Class of '60. Approximately $95.00

If you like a quaint hotel with European ambiance, try the St. Michel, 162 Alcazar, just around the corner 2 blocks from the Colonnade. Check it out at www.hotelmichel.com or call 305-444-1666. There is self parking acoss the street at $9.00 per day. Ask for or email evelyndavis@ hotel stmichel.com and say you're with Gables class of '60. Our rate is $119.
